Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the Darkness to Daylight Challenge!

In Australia on average 110 people die from Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) every year. This year alone we have seen an increase in this number and more gendered attacks making the headlines. The rate of women killed by intimate partner violence in 2022-23 increased by nearly 30%, on the previous year. 

As a social worker I have seen first hand the impact of Domestic and Family violence. The work I did in this space was incredibly rewarding, but also ridiculously difficult. What is needed is social and cultural change, and like anything this requires money.

I’m participating in Darkness to Daylight (D2D) - a 110km run - where each kilometer represents one of those lives lost. I am participating in the 10km run, something I have never accomplished before.

I would very much appreciate your support because together we can end domestic and family violence.
