Why Queensland Health is participating in Darkness to Daylight:
Domestic and family violence (DFV) is a significant health issue, and the Queensland Health workforce plays a critical role in identifying and responding to DFV within the Queensland community.
Health services are often the first point of contact for people experiencing DFV. Queensland Health is committed to upskilling the workforce to ensure every member of staff understands their roles and responsibilities in recognising, responding and referring DFV in both patients and colleagues.
Darkness to Daylight is a great opportunity to take a collective stand against abuse and raise crucial funds to put an end to domestic and family violence.
Challenge DV
Challenge DV is on a mission to end domestic and family violence. Through specialised training, powerful advocacy and impactful programs, we partner with all corners of the community - from schools to workplaces, sporting clubs and local businesses - to challenge violence and change lives.
