Darkness to Daylight will be coming back in 2024
We want to say a huge thank you to every participant who celebrated with us and challenged themselves on the 30th and 31st May. Every step taken during Darkness to Daylight honours those lives lost to domestic and family violence, and we truly appreciate your support.
The Brisbane City Botanic Gardens was the perfect host for the Patron of Challenge DV and Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency Dr Jeanette Young, as well as 350 students and hundreds more participants. Our virtual event attracted global attention from Singapore, Amsterdam and beyond, not to mention the registrations in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and the Northern Territory. All up, more than 2400 people signed on.
The engagement of schools this year was another highlight. We’d especially like to acknowledge the commitment of students from Anglican Church College, Glenala State High School, Mary Mackillop College, Moreton Bay College, St John Fisher College, St Patrick's College and St Teresa's Catholic College.
Though the event has wrapped up, contributions can still be made. We invite you to make an end-of-financial-year donation at Challenge DV.
We look forward to sharing news of Darkness to Daylight 2024 as soon as possible.

In Australia on average 110 people die from domestic and family violence every year. Darkness to Daylight is a 110km run, where each kilometre represents one of those lives lost. We don’t mind if you run or walk, if you complete 3km or 110km. We just ask that you run with a purpose and that you join us in standing up to domestic and family violence.
When you take part in Challenge DV's Darkness to Daylight event, you are making a stand, helping to drive community awareness and intervention, and raising crucial funds to help prevent domestic and family violence.
If you or someone you know is impacted by domestic and family violence, support is available.

With thanks to our partners and sponsors
