Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the Darkness to Daylight Challenge!
Did you know that in Australia on average 110 people die from Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) every year?
Already this year there have been far too many domestic and family violence related deaths: baby Kobi Shepherdson who was killed by her father in a murder-suicide, Kelly Wilkinson who was allegedly murdered by her estranged husband, and likely many more that just didn't make the mainstream news.
That's why I'm participating in Darkness to Daylight (D2D) this year. It's a 110km run/walk where each kilometre represents one of those lives lost. It’s a long distance but knowing the funds raised go towards DFV prevention makes it all worth it.
I'm looking to raise $1,000 over the month of May and would appreciate any donations you can make - no matter how big or small! Please share this post around if you know of any others who would be willing to donate to this worthy cause
