In Australia on average 110 people die from Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) every year.

I’m participating in Darkness to Daylight (D2D) - a 110km run - where each kilometre represents one of those lives lost. It’s a long distance, it’s physically and mentally demanding but knowing the funds raised go towards DFV prevention makes it all worth it.

Hi All,

I chose this challenge because I feel domestic violence affects us all one way or another. Whether we know someone affected by it or have experienced this ourselves in past or present relationships. I’m participating in this challenge for our family friend Emerald Wardle. A young, vibrant, shy, kind, funny and special young lady who was tragically killed by her boyfriend in 2020. It’s time to continue checking in on our loved ones, dial 000 if you see or hear violence, warn our brothers, sisters, friends and family if you see red flags and they don’t.
